Canadian Sacrifices
CSS-73 It’s Budget Day in Canada, finally. The last one was tabled by Chrystia Freeland on April 16th, 2024. We were overdue. Given the early preambles, this budget will not be the one that kicks off the “budgets will balance themselves” narrative that our previous “leader” (Justin Trudeau) adhered to. The current year’s deficit is estimated at $68.5 billion, followed by a 2026 budget year deficit of $92.2 billion. Begs the question, what are those additions to our children’s and grandchildren’s already dangerous debt levels being spent on.
My thoughts are attached (with a focus on our need to make “sacrifices”).
