With respect to “Climate Change”, this website and my contribution to the discussion focuses on the data. I have a standing request/challenge to anyone (scientist or not) to provide an empirical Temperature/CO2 data set that shows CO2 driving the climate on any statistically significant historical time scale. Scientific proof requires empirical data. The Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming (CAGW) theory does not have that empirical data (because that data does not exist).

OPS

Hurricane Update – August 2020

OPS-32 The 2019 Hurricane season did little to change the long-term downward trend of both the Number of Tropical Storms and the Hurricanes. We will have to wait and see what happens in 2020. The forecasted 2020 increase in North Atlantic (NA) hurricanes will have no impact on the downward Global Hurricane trend (declining by 22 hurricanes/century). The forecasted 2020 increase in NA Tropical Storms may have a minor impact (assuming the year ends at the high end of the range), but the trend (globally) is still down. Given that tropical storms have been dropping at a rate of 54/century, and given that there has only been a Global total of 14 Tropical Storms and 3 Hurricanes in 2020 (as of August 17th), that NA increase may be needed just to keep the downward trend where it is now.

#showusthedata #globalwarming #climatechange

As I laid out in the previous Drought Discussion (OPS-31),

“Even the IPCC acknowledges that there is no data showing extreme weather events are connected to Global Warming let alone Anthropogenic Global Warming. Not surprising, since extreme weather is dependent on the temperature difference between the northern latitudes and the equatorial regions. As the earth warms, the polar/equatorial temperature differences decrease, and extreme weather decreases in parallel.

I wonder when the Mainstream Media will stop blatantly lying about the relationship between “Climate Change” and extreme weather.”
